Professor Dr. Abd Samad Hasan Basari is a distinguished academic in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology, presently serving as a Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Mathematics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1998. His academic pursuits gravitated towards Computational Modelling upon the completion of his Master of Information Technology in Education from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2002. In 2009, he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information and Communication Technology by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), with his doctoral research concentrating on Maintenance Modelling with a specific focus on incomplete data. His scholarly contributions in this domain have advanced methodologies in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Fuzzy Logic, Optimization, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). At present, Professor Abd Samad serves as the Head of the Soft Computing and Data Mining Research Centre (SMC) at UTHM, where he directs pioneering research initiatives.

His unwavering commitment to research has culminated in the publication of over 150 peer-reviewed papers in esteemed academic journals and conferences, thereby establishing his prominence within the global academic community.
